App Configuration Data: Information you input to configure the AI features, including your business name, industry, location, website URL, and the names of tracked competitor businesses.
Billing Information: All payment transactions are handled entirely by our third-party Merchant of Record (Paddle). We do not personally store, collect, or process your credit card numbers or financial account details.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, specifically to:
Create and secure your user account dashboard on our application platform.
Route information through our integration engines to query artificial intelligence models and competitors' tracking APIs on your behalf.
Deliver critical system notifications, account alerts, and transactional emails.
Prevent fraudulent activity, ensure software security, and comply with legal requirements.
4. Third-Party Data Processors
To run Meerkat AI, we partner with a select group of trusted third-party service providers who process your data strictly under confidentiality agreements. These processors include:
Platform Hosting: Bubble.io (Emmanuel Technologies, Inc.), used to host our application database and server architecture.
Workflow Automation: Make.com (Celonis, Inc.), used to securely route data between our application and third-party APIs.
Payment Processing & Subscriptions: Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), acting as our legal Merchant of Record. Paddle collects global taxes, manages compliance, and processes billing. You can view their policy at https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy.
Transactional Emails: SendGrid (Twilio, Inc.), used to deliver account creation and password reset emails.
AI Engine Providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Azure / Foundry. We transmit your business and competitor input variables to these engines via dedicated developer APIs. None of our AI providers use your data to train or improve their public artificial intelligence models.
Search & Competitive Data APIs: Serper.dev and Serpapi.com, used to pull search ranking and competitive data points based on your inputted competitor tracking requests.
5. Data Retention & Backups
We believe in data minimization.
If you choose to delete your account, your personal data and application metrics will be removed from our active production servers within 30 days.
Residual data deleted from active production environments may persist in secure, encrypted system backups for an additional 30 to 60 days before being completely and permanently overwritten during standard backup lifecycle rotations.
